Student protesters recently took a stand against a Trump-appointed judge with a history of opposing LGBTQ+ rights, insisting he is the wrong person to weigh in on free speech issues on college campuses.
Law professor and Villanova’s inaugural anti-poverty fellow Stephanie Sena helped put together the programming, noting the importance of providing alternate space for students who would be made uncomfortable with Duncan’s presence. “Just because protest is legitimate, I don't believe it is the most effective course of action here,” Sena told Teen Vogue.
