The two-term councilmember said he was dropping out due to health concerns.
Kubosh withdrew from the race Monday over health concerns. He said in a news release he no longer has"the ability to sustain my campaign at the level required, while at the same time, abiding by my doctor's orders."
Kubosh, who was absent from Wednesday's council meeting, did not respond to requests for comment. His brother, Randall Kubosh, who serves as his campaign treasurer, told KHOU that he"may have inadvertently miscategorized several items" in the reports, and that he was filing correction affidavits for those charges. He cited his own health battles with cancer.
