: The Ministry of Works , via its agency, the Construction Industry Development Board , plans to deploy workers to Nagasaki, Japan, in the fourth quarter of 2024, as part of a partnership focusing on Technical and Vocational Education and Training .

In a statement today, he disclosed that efforts are underway with relevant institutions and agencies in Nagasaki, and the relevant programme is expected to be finalised through a Memorandum of Cooperation slated for signing later this year. Exchange of technology will also be enhanced, focusing on the utilisation of modern technology in welding work and heavy machinery operation, he added.
