Mark Heim | [email protected] Herbstreit announced Thursday on “The Pat McAfee Show” that PGA Tour golfer Scottie Scheffler will be ESPN’s “College GameDay” celebrity picker on Saturday from Austin, Texas, ahead of the No. 1 Longhorns’ game with No. 5 Georgia.The 28-year-old Dallas native is currently No. 1 on the Official World Golf Rankings and has 13 PGA Tour wins, including the 2022 and 2024 Masters.
Lee Corso has missed the last two weeks of the show. It is unknown if he will be in Austin. However, both Herbstreit and McAfee hinted that the former coach may be back.. He can be heard on “The Opening Kickoff” on WNSP-FM 105.5 FM in Mobile or on the free Sound of Mobile App from 6 to 9 a.m. daily.
