Kingda Ka closed to make way for ‘record-breaking’ mystery ride at Six Flags Great Adventure

The tallest, and one of the fastest, roller coasters in the world will be demolished and replaced with a new coaster.

, the tallest roller coaster in the world, is permanently shut down at Six Flags Great Adventure as the park makes way for a new roller coaster set to break records, officials said Thursday.

The second planned ride is more of a mystery. Described only as a “multi-world-record-breaking launch roller coaster,” the teased ride is planned for 2026, the park said. The new mystery roller coaster will be built on the space occupied by Kingda Ka, The Twister and Parachutes, park officials said.
