King County Sheriff’s Office deputies respond to the scene of a deadly shooting in Des Moines on Monday, August 26, 2024.
KCSO officials said there were about 40 people on the bus, who likely left the scene quickly for their safety when this happened. Still, investigators are looking to speak with them to see if anyone has any more information about what happened. “Well, it is the bus from hell,” Moeller said. “Surprised it hadn't happened sooner. I see it every day. I ride this thing twice daily, five times a week, even more. This line is an absolute abomination.”
Stan Brulotte also rides this bus regularly and spoke with another bus rider who witnessed what happened and said there was so much commotion on the bus. Some riders didn’t realize someone had been shot.
