KFC , the iconic fast-food chain famous for its fried chicken, is making a significant move by relocating its corporate headquarters from Louisville , Kentucky to Plano , Texas . Yum! Brands , the parent company of KFC , Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell, announced this strategic shift, which will bring over 100 corporate office employees from Kentucky to the existing KFC and Pizza Hut headquarters in Plano . The transition is anticipated to be completed over the next six months.
Furthermore, KFC is calling for all its U.S.-based remote employees, numbering approximately 90, to return to the office and relocate to Plano over the next 18 months. This move consolidates KFC's operations and fosters closer collaboration among its teams. Notably, the KFC and Pizza Hut global teams have already been based in Plano since 1997, with the campus undergoing a significant expansion in 2016.This decision signifies a strategic shift for KFC, aiming to enhance collaboration, streamline operations, and drive sustainable growth.
