Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant has invested in over 30 companies off of the court and announced his latest investment yesterday in headphones company Master & Dynamic.
30 companies, and that number has only grown. These companies include some giants like San Francisco-based Coinbase, investment app Acorns, cloud-computing startup Rubrik, bike-share company LimeBike and delivery company Postmates.been seen in Beats headphones, which became the official headphones of the NBA last year -- it is safe to say he will now be switching to the Master & Dynamic model, now he has an official investor.
It is unclear how Durant will be able to utilize a headphone during NBA games that is a competitor to an official league sponsor, but he continues the trend of professional athletes not just being a spokesperson for brands but also an investor, with skin in the game.
