Kelly Jeffrey is fired up about being the Riders' newest offensive co-ordinator.
But he doesn’t sound concerned about where he was in the pecking order to find a replacement for, who was fired on Nov. 1 as the Riders’ offensive co-ordinator and quarterbacks coach. The firing came after the Riders missed the playoffs with a 6-12 record.

“Cody is a good player and we have a history together,” Jeffrey said. “When I was in Toronto in 2016 he was my personal protector for a while on the punt team. He was someone that I identified as a strong athlete who was versatile and could do a lot of stuff.
