In 1957, Hödicke moved to Berlin, enrolling in the Technical University for architecture before transferring to the Hoschule der Künste, where he studied painting under. Hödicke has gone on to participate in numerous shows, including documenta 6 in 1977. He continues to live and work in Berlin, Germany.
