The Wednesday appearance at 6 p.m. marks Harris’ first formal sit-down interview on the Fox News Channel after she completed earlier interviews on CNN andafter earlier agreeing to do so.
Harris doing the sit-down interview on Fox News Channel allows the U.S. presidential candidate to possibly draw votes from conservative and independent voters that routinely tune into the 24-hour news service owned by Fox Corp. and reaching into 70 million homes. At the same time, the Fox News Channel appearance is a risk as Harris will be grilled about her plans if she wins the U.S. presidential election next month, including on hot-button issues like immigration and reproductive rights.
Harris was earlier criticized for doing too few TV sit-downs with journalists since becoming the Democratic nominee, but in recent weeks has done a media blitz, including a live interview withTaylor Swift’s The Eras Tour Returns to the U.S.
