The crime thriller centered on a pregnant real estate agent and her former tennis star husband as they try to get in on the true crime craze after learning a friend is a serial killer and they create a podcast featuring interviews with him.
The Hollywood Reporter has brought word that Based on a True Story season 2 is moving ahead at Peacock. The news comes four months after the show's cliffhanger ending in which Ava and Nathan are found cleaning up the mess left by Ruby's body in their new home by her husband, Aaron Staton's Simon. No timeline has been given for when season 2 will begin filming as the writers strike only recently concluded and the SAG-AFTRA strike is still ongoing.
