The singer is due to appear for arraignment in Sag Harbor, New York, on Tuesday.
Timberlake, 43, is due to be arraigned in the town’s court Tuesday. Sag Harbor authorities have not yet released the specific charges on which the singer was arrested, but did confirm to Newsday that they were related to driving under the influence. Representatives for Timberlake did not immediately respond to Vanity Fair’s request for comment.
The former ’NSync frontman released his latest solo album in March, and it has since seen anemic chart activity. In 2023, ex-girlfriend Britney Spears released her bombshell memoir, The Woman in Me, in which she shared anecdotes about Timberlake breaking up with her over text message, cheating on her, and saying he “didn’t want to be a father” when Spears became pregnant unexpectedly, leading to her get an abortion.
