Un jurado fallo a favor de tres mujeres que afirmaron haber sufrido abuso sexual cuando eran pacientes en un hospital infantil de Virginia, indemnizándolas con un total de 300 millones de dólares por daños y perjuicios. El jurado del tribunal de circuito de Richmond indemnizó a cada mujer con 60 millones de dólares por concepto de daños y 40 millones por daños punitivos, informó la televisora WTVR.
En este primer juicio, las tres expacientes afirmaron que Davidow las tocó inapropiadamente al realizarles exámenes de pulso femoral. “Tener a un grupo de personas —un grupo de extraños— mirándolas, escuchándolas, diciéndoles que les creen, que creen en ellas, las quebró, las hizo romper en llanto de inmediato,” dijo Kevin Biniazan, el abogado de las mujeres. “Nos hizo a todos romper en llanto”.
