Women’s gymnastics star Jordan Chiles joins TODAY to celebrate her gold and bronze medal wins for Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics. She also opens up about her close friendship with Simone Biles. 'Simone is like a big sister to me,' she says.
Jordan Chiles is opening up about how it's been a 'very difficult' time for her after being stripped of her Olympic bronze medal at the 2024 Paris Games. “It's hard to tell yourself that everything is going to be fine when you know you feel like you literally, we didn't do anything wrong,” the gymnast, 23, said of Team USA in an interview with TODAY’s Hoda Kotb on Nov. 11.
“This decision feels unjust and comes as a significant blow, not just to me, but to everyone who has championed my journey.” She also said she did not plan on giving up. “I will approach this challenge as I have others — and will make every effort to ensure that justice is done,” she wrote. “I believe that at the end of this journey, the people in control will do the right thing.” USA Gymnastics has said it will continue to fight CAS’ decision, saying in a statement on X on Aug.
