The Colts running back had requested a trade and given permission by the team to seek one before being placed on the PUP list following offseason ankle surgery.

Colts running back Jonathan Taylor is expected to make his season debut Sunday after being activated from the PUP list. Tailback Jonathan Taylor has agreed to a three-year, $42 million contract extension with the Indianapolis Colts, according to a person familiar with the situation.from the physically unable to perform list Saturday. He is eligible to play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans in what would be his season debut.

Taylor was entering the final season of a four-year rookie contract that was to pay him $4.3 million this year. He requested a trade before the season. The Coltsbut later granted Taylor and his representatives permission to seek a deal. But no trade was worked out and the Colts placed Taylor on the PUP list before the season.

Taylor underwent offseason ankle surgery and spent all of training camp and the preseason on the camp version of the PUP list.
