Although the Connecticut native stated that he has “always sought [the] potential for a long-term relationship,” he admitted that he hasn’t been active on the dating scene these days. “I don’t really date,” he said. “Of course I want to get married,” Mayer said, noting that he’s not afraid of commitment.
The guitarist added,"My entire life, today included, if you told me that I could have a great two months with someone but it would end on the first day of the third month, I would not be interested.”crooner revealed the inspiration behind the hit song from his 2001 album,"That was about my first girlfriend. I was 21 when I wrote that song and I was nostalgic for being 16,” he shared.
