Jack Beckman, who is currently standing in for John Force, has withdrawn from the 39th NHRA Texas Fall Nationals due to health concerns.The event, held at the Texas Motorplex, was set to include Beckman in the PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant Chevrolet Camaro SS. The 58-year-old decided to step down from the race after experiencing a sudden onset of vertigo-like symptoms.Beckman has been a formidable presence in drag racing.
Although Beckman had successfully secured the No. 3 qualifying position, he was unable to compete due to his health concerns.The withdrawal decision was not taken lightly. Bob McAleer, a spokesperson for John Force Racing shared:'Jack was fine when he left the track , but when he woke up this morning, he had vertigo-like symptoms that were not quickly resolved.'On the advice of NHRA medical professionals, he reluctantly has withdrawn from competition this weekend.
