Comedian John Cleese declared that he would not allow a reboot of 'Fawlty Towers' to air on BBC because the outlet was 'frightened of offending others.'
The entertainment icon discusses the current state of comedy with Fox News Digital.
Cleese was the subject of headlines across Britain after it was revealed that the beloved sitcom will return to television. Cleese will be starring in the show along with his daughter, Camilla Cleese. "I was terribly lucky before, because I was working for the BBC in the late Sixties, Seventies, and the beginning of the Eighties."
Cleese slammed the BBC in 2020 after an episode was temporarily removed from a streaming platform tied to BBC Studios for"racial slurs."
