Colin Cowherd may have an actual problem with humans who wear their baseball hats backwards or he's realized that he can build a pretty solid bit around the idea that he does. If pressed, it's probably a combination of the two things. It's been Hat o'clock around FS1 studios this week as Cowherd reacted to JJ Redick wearing a backward hat on the video feed of the podcast he does with LeBron James after he was connected to the open Los Angeles Lakers coaching job.

Just an endless cycle of people responding to the responses to the original stimuli. And we're not done with them because Cowherd continued to opine on the subject on his show on Thursday.
The thing is — and it's incredibly obvious — is that Redick doesn't need to turn his life around. Cowherd is building off content created with LeBron James and using it as a springboard to explain why the player-turned-pundit shouldn't get one of the most high-profile coaching jobs in all of sports. Redick is doing just fine, thank you. And so is Cowherd, knowing he can dip into the well and bring this type of silliness to the surface, collecting attention along the way.
Whomever the Lakers choose to be their next coach won't be wearing a cap on the sidelines anyway so all of this is a moot point. If there's even a point to begin with.
