Former BYU star Jimmer Fredette will be part of a four-man United States team competing at the FIBA 3x3 World Cup in Austria.
Fredette, BYU’s all-time leading scorer with 2,599 career points, helped the U.S. to an AmeriCup victory last year, hitting the game-winning shot against Puerto Rico in the process.
He joins a roster that includes Florida Southern guard Dylan Travis, Iowa Wolves guard Canyon Barry and former Princeton Tigers forward Kareem Maddox.The tournament’s quarterfinals are set for Saturday. The semifinals and final will be played on June 4.
