The new Chargers head coach isn't working for Michigan anymore, but he still kept his promise to Wolverines players.
Harbaugh, who was hired by the Los Angeles Chargers in January, isn't working for his alma mater anymore, but he still kept a promise he made to Wolverines players.with reporters that he told players before the season he would be getting a"15-0" tattoo to commemorate Michigan's 2023 campaign should they go undefeated.
“I did say that to our players. I said, ‘We go 15–0, I’m getting a tattoo, that’s, 15–0.’ I’m going to put it on—probably the shoulder, I don’t know if it’s my left or my right yet," Harbaugh said."Right-handed quarterback, I’ll probably get it on my right. And then an ‘M,’ an ‘M’ that’ a Maize and Blue ‘M.’ Also that signifies 1000 in Roman numerals,” Harbaugh said.
Sure enough, there was Harbaugh, seen in a video posted onto former Michigan defensive back Mike Sainristil's Instagram account, getting a Maize and Blue"M" with the"15-0" record tattooed on his right shoulder on Saturday."I can see why once you get one you might want to start adding to it," Harbaugh joked in the video.
Props to Harbaugh, who is in the middle of preparations with the Chargers for the upcoming NFL draft, for taking the time to make good on his word to his former Michigan players. Harbaugh spent four seasons with the Wolverines as a player from 1983–86, then another nine seasons as the program's head coach from 2015–23.
