The Jets elected their 2024 captains Tuesday, choosing three of the same players who held the title a year ago along with a new veteran.
Aaron Rodgers and C.J. Mosley, two of the team’s 2023 captains, were unsurprisingly reelected for 2024.
Nearly every team that elects captains elevates its quarterback, and it is no secret that the Jets are depending on Rodgers to elevate nearly every facet of their team. After ending his holdout Tuesday morning, Niners offensive tackle Trent Williams worked off to the side during the portion of practice open to media, according to reports.
There appeared to be no movement on Haason Reddick’s holdout going into game week, with coach Robert Saleh saying there were no new development that he knew of and that he had not talked to Reddick since before training camp.
