Jets fans were clearly feeling pretty good going into Thursday’s matchup with the New England Patriots.
So much so that some fans in the parking lot of MetLife Stadium started burning a No. 10 jersey in a clip posted to social media.
The man led the group in a “J-E-T-S” chant before lighting the jersey on fire to the delight of the crowd. If the jersey was in fact a Maye jersey, then the burning would have been a costly endeavor for whoever purchased it.A No. 10 Maye jersey similar to the one that was burned is listed at $129 on the Patriots’ website, while the same site lists a Jones jersey at a $38.99 price tag.
