The Golden Bachelor Women Are More Resilient Compared To The OG Bachelor Jesse also noted that a major difference between The Golden Bachelor and the OG Bachelor franchise shows is that the contestants on The Golden Bachelor are more resilient. This is mostly because Gerry and the women he's dating on the show have more life experience and a different maturity level than the younger contestants on other seasons.
Although The Golden Bachelor will be very similar to other shows in The Bachelor franchise, the age range of both Gerry and his contestants will significantly change the game. On The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor In Paradise, the majority of the contestants haven't been married or had children yet, which changes their approach to dating. Many of The Golden Bachelor contestants, along with Gerry himself, have gone through marriage, divorce, raising children, and losing a spouse.
When The Golden Bachelor premieres, viewers will be able to see people from an older generation fall in love, which isn't often shown anymore. Most reality dating shows center around a younger generation, so it will be a nice change to have a show like The Golden Bachelor make its debut on TV.
