A former Pinson Valley High School and Auburn standout, Nix was picked from Oregon at No. 12 on April 25 by the Broncos. Nix wore the No. 10 jersey for the photo shoot, the number that he wore at Pinson Valley, Auburn and Oregon.Burton wore No. 3 during his two seasons at Alabama and was No. 7 for two seasons at Georgia before that. But he was in the No. 81 jersey for the photo shoot.
The union’s annual orientation features seminars on financial planning and brand building and connects the players with NFLPA business partners that will help them develop their personal brands and careers off the field. The rookies will head back to their new teams for the beginning of Phase 3 of the offseason program. Commonly called OTAs , this period of practice allows NFL teams to expand their offseason on-the-field work to include 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills matching the offense and defense. Contact is still not allowed, but group drills can proceed at more than a walkthrough pace now.
