Jeremy Hunt has been in Accrington this morning
Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has said he is determined to ensure opportunities and prosperity boom in Lancashire during a visit to Accrington.

He said there was a "real buzz and excitement" in the town following the announcement.
"Michael Gove [Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities] has been very focused on this issue and bringing in higher standards but the biggest thing about today's announcement is about bringing in jobs and prosperity to the areas that have been overlooked for a long time," Mr Hunt responded.
Mr Hunt was asked if there was a disparity between Conservative-held and Labour-held constituencies in terms of where the Levelling Up funding had been awarded. "About 45 per cent of the funding has gone to opposition Members of Parliament which is the same proportion as seats in Parliament," he replied.
