Jayson Tatum wins 1st NBA title, poised to land historic contract extension

“Oh my God, it’s a surreal feeling, we did it,” Tatum told Lisa Salters on ABC after putting up 31 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds in Boston’s 106-88 victory in Game 5. “We did it. Oh my God, we did it.” He’s also on the verge of signing the biggest contract in NBA history -- a five-year, $315 million extension.
The Celtics came back after getting blown out in Dallas in Game 4 and finished 16-3 in the playoffs and 80-21 in the regular season and postseason.
