Jaylen Brown's reported five-year, $304 million fully guaranteed contract breaks the previous $264 million record set last summer by two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic.
Jaylen Brown #7 of the Boston Celtics controls the ball ahead of Caleb Martin #16 of the Miami Heat during the Eastern Conference Finals at Kaseya Center on May 27, 2023 in Miami, Florida.
The Nuggets awarded Jokic with a massive five-year, $264 million contract, which held the mark for the league's richest deal until Tuesday. Jokic helped lift the Nuggets to their first NBA Championship in June. Brown's extension also sets the table for an expensive duo in Boston. Fellow Celtics star Jayson Tatum will be eligible for a similar deal next summer.
