Aldean drew heat for the move from fans who backed him in the controversy of the past week.
Jason Aldean rode the wave of controversy around his “Try That In A Small Town” video through most of the week, but now the country music star has a problem.
So, it appears Aldean never actually had permission to use the footage in the video. Whether that matters to the fans who were upset that the edits were made remains to be seen., streams of “Try That In A Small Town,” have risen a whopping 999% across the past week. Per the report, the song saw an increase from 987,000 streams prior to the controversy to 11.7 million after.
“I love our country,” he said. “I want to see it restored to what it once was before all of this started happening to us. I love my country, I love my family and I will do anything to protect that, I can tell you that right now.”Aldean went on to blame the backlash on “cancel culture.”
