Jamie Fraser risked a lot bringing George Washington something special in Outlander season 7 —but what was it, exactly, and why was the future US president so pleased? Throughout Outlander , Jamie and Claire have done their best to use their knowledge of the future to do some good.
In the case of the American Revolution, it has been important to them to help ensure the Colonies' freedom from the English since they want to secure the world where their daughter and grandchildren live in the 20th century. Now, in Outlander season 7, Jamie has taken significant steps to make that happen. Jamie was presumed dead when the ship he was meant to cross from Scotland on was lost at sea. However, in Outlander season 7, episode 11, Jamie suddenly appears alive and well at Lord John Grey's house in Philadelphia, with British soldiers hot on his tail. After pretending to kidnap Lord John, Jamie revealed that he was being hunted because he had refused a search upon entering the city. Apparently, he had some papers on him he didn't want the British to find. After Jamie hands these over to George Washington in Outlander season 7, episode 12, it becomes clear why. Jamie Gives George Washington Letters Confirming Donations From France Jamie Secured Much-Needed Support From France Jamie was so eager to get his secret letters to George Washington in Outlander season 7, episode 12 that he allowed Lord John Grey to be captured by rebel soldiers—something he will surely have to deal with later. For that moment, meeting with the first president of the future United States was his priority. Jamie first met with his friend, Colonel Morgan, and revealed that the letters he carried were from their'friends in France.' This prompted Morgan to take Jamie to George Washington, who was only too happy to receive the letters, revealing that they were confirmations of sizeable donation
