James Gunn debunks a new DCU Batman casting rumor, saying that it appears to have been made up for 'clicks out of whole cloth.'
At this time, nobody has been officially cast in the role of the Dark Knight in Gunn and Peter Safran’s forthcoming DCU. It is known that Batman will be featured in, which is being directed by Andy Muschietti; however, the film does not yet have a release date and it is unclear if said movie will be the first official DCU appearance of the Caped Crusader., Gunn responded to a now-deleted post from @smallcreeno claiming that DC Studios is “reportedly looking for a middle-aged man to play Batman.
