Jacob Blake, who was shot in the back multiple times by police in late August, invigorating nationwide anti-racism protests, has left the hospital, his attorney said Wednesday.... [+]Forty-five days after the shooting which left Blake at least temporarily paralyzed from the waist down, his attorney Patrick Cafferty told CNN that Blake has been discharged from the hospital, though he didn’t specify exactly when.
The 29-year-old will be checked into a spinal injury rehabilitation center in Chicago, Cafferty said, but would not detail how long Blake is expected to remain there and did not immediately respond to questions fromBlake, who is Black, was shot four times in the back by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on August 23, while officers were responding to a “domestic incident.
Blake also suffered damage to his stomach, liver and kidney, and had to have most of his colon and small intestines
