ITV boss 'deeply concerned' about Phillip Schofield and says he is receiving counselling
ITV boss Dame Carolyn McCall has shared that she is "deeply concerned" about former This Morning presenter Phillip Schofield. Dame Carolyn has appeared before the Culture, Media and Sport Committee to answer questions about the broadcaster’s approach to safeguarding and complaint handling.
Following his resignation from ITV, Phillip gave an interview to the BBC in which he said he now understands how deceased television presenter Caroline Flack felt in the wake of his scandal. Caroline took her own life in 2020. "I phoned him and said I know this is very difficult. He was grateful and said it meant so much to him. I didn’t know he was then going to admit he lied to us."
