The Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board is asking voters to vote “yes” on Issue 17, which will be on the ballot in the General Election in November. Issue 17 is a 4.5 million operating levy that replaces Summit DD’s current levy (due to expire in 2024) at the same millage.

AKRON, Ohio – The Summit County Developmental Disabilities Board is asking voters to approve a replacement tax levy in November that provides more than 80% of its revenue.

The cost to homeowners is based on their current home valuation, and not 2024 rates, according to Support Summit DD Campaign Manager Billie Jo David. “Passing the levy is critical to be able to provide services for the people we serve, their families and the community,” David said.
