Hamas should be cleansed from Gaza, but after the Eurovision contest says Israeli politician
And while Israel seems to have come to a negotiated solution after killing more than 24 Palestinians, including two pregnant women, the main impetus for doing so seems to have indeed been the Eurovision contest.
Well, if I was Hamas leadership I’d be shocked too. It’s typically Israel that is condemned. No? Only reason everyone’s so exercised is cuz of Eurovision. Even Mogherini condemned Hamas. Non of the usual equivocation. After the big show it’ll be back to the regular channel....A further assault by Israel, however, cannot be ruled out.
Thus Netanyahu must have also took this into consideration--end this round of fighting ASAP, and make sure it does not gush over into Tel Aviv, which could bring thousands of cancellations, or even cancellation of the show itself. If this is true then its Israel's PR at its best.While the latest Israeli escalation has ended, recent history shows that when Israel feels it can get away with bombing Gaza without consequence, it will surely do so again.
