Israel's air defense systems, with the help of the United States and other allies, successfully intercepted almost all of the Iranian drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles that were aimed at Israel. The Israeli Defense Forces spokesperson stated that 99% of the threats were intercepted, with the majority being stopped outside of Israeli territory. The attack involved over 300 missiles and drones, including more than 100 ballistic missiles and 30 cruise missiles. Only a few ballistic missiles caused minor damage to the Nevatim air base. The Israeli defense systems downed 120 ballistic missiles and 25 cruise missiles. The attack was mainly launched from Iran, but some rockets came from Hezbollah in Lebanon, as well as UAVs and cruise missiles from Yemen and Iraq.

In total, he said, “120 ballistic missiles were downed” by Israeli defense systems, and 25 cruise missiles were downed by the Israeli air force. None of the UAVs or cruise missiles entered Israeli airspace, Hagari said. He said that the “large-scale coordinated attack” was launched mainly from Iranian territory, but that some rockets came from the Iranian-backed militant group Hezbollah in nearby Lebanon and some UAVs and cruise missiles were launched from Yemen and Iraq.
