on Monday morning that Ferentz was not expected to remain with the Hawkeyes after this season, Iowa interim athletic director Beth Goetz confirmed Monday that this will be Ferentz’s final year with the Hawkeyes, though he will remain with the team for the rest of the 2023 campaign.Ferentz, the son of Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz, signed a revised contract before the 2023 season that had become a running joke in college football circles.
If Iowa was to reach Ferentz's contract goal, it would need to average 33.8 points per game the rest of the season, a total that seems very unlikely.Iowa plays Northwestern this week in a game that features a ridiculously low over/under total of 30.5 at most sportsbooks.
