The National Transportation Safety Board released a statement with their preliminary finding on Wednesday. The pilot had departed from Kestrel Airpark for the local flight, before fatally crashing outside of a home in Spring Branch. The NTSB said the helicopter was a Vertical Aviation Technologies Hummingbird 260L, a kit helicopter based on the Sikorsky S-52 helicopter.
