Police arrested an intoxicated Cleveland man at about 12:30 a.m. Oct. 2 after he refused to stop his sport-utility vehicle, then jumped out of the SUV and ran away.
BROOKPARK, Ohio –An intoxicated Cleveland man, 38, was arrested at about 12:30 a.m. Oct. 2 after he refused to stop his sport-utility vehicle for police, then jumped out of the SUV and ran away.
Police tried to pull over the SUV but the man didn’t stop. He turned east onto Hummel, running a stop sign in the process. Then he turned back onto Engle, heading southbound in the northbound lanes. Another cruiser blocked the SUV as it continued southbound, and the man stopped his vehicle. The man exited the SUV and ran eastbound into a parking lot on Engle. He tripped and fell to the ground.The man tried to stand but police pushed him back to the ground. After wrestling with him, they placed him in handcuffs.
