With the Astros winning two championships in six years, a look at how they compare to MLB's top dynasties during the modern era.

That question prompts others. What exactly constitutes a baseball dynasty? Multiple championships within a certain window? One championship but a number of pennants? The criteria aren’t necessarily hard and fast. First, we recognize that championships have to carry the most weight. But pennants also are significant accomplishments. And just getting to a League Championship Series, as the Astros have done for six consecutive seasons, is nothing to sneeze at.
One note: No overlapping was allowed. The Braves of 1991-96 and 1995-2000 would both make the list, but the former gets the nod by virtue of a higher score.
