'There’s going to be times when some guys are playing really well and when some guys maybe didn’t have a great game, but this coaching staff, we believe in them...' said Colts defensive coordinator Gus Bradley. For the full story: Colts NFL
INDIANAPOLIS — The Colts have been rotating Brandon Facyson and Isaiah Rodgers as the team’s No. 3 cornerback the past four weeks, sticking with the plan even though Facyson has been on the wrong end of several key plays.
“We’re going to need them both,” Bradley said. “There’s going to be times when some guys are playing really well and when some guys maybe didn’t have a great game, but this coaching staff, we believe in them, and we believe that the next opportunity they get, they have to take advantage of it. But still, right now, they’re in a rotation.
The team’s top two cornerbacks, Stephon Gilmore and Kenny Moore II, do not come off the field except in case of injury. “That’s what we’re looking at with this game, too, because they do attack the perimeter,” Bradley said. “There’s some things that we can help with, with all of our corners. At times, we’re playing some man now, and the crack/replace in man coverage vs. zone is a little bit different, so we’re hoping that when we get into those situations, we are playing some man, and we can improve in that area on the crack/replace.
