CLAY COUNTY — Two young children were killed in a mobile home fire last Wednesday near Brazil, an official says.
The children's exact ages were not immediately clear, but Clay County Chief Deputy Josh Clarke described them as"a toddler and an infant." Authorities have not disclosed either child's identity. Autopsies were still being conducted Thursday afternoon, Clarke said. Emergency personnel responded about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday for the fire, which happened at North View Country Estates in the 3800 block of West State Road 340.An investigation is still underway and additional details were not immediately available.
