The announcement by Banks, who formerly served as chair of the Republican Study Committee, comes days after the conservative groupvowed to spend money on ads against former Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels if he jumps into the Senate race. Daniels is considered a potential Senate candidate for the Senate seat being vacated by Braun.
