As the Logan County community continues to deal with damage from the deadly EF-3 tornado on Thursday, Indian Lake Schools gace an update on its shelter for impa
Unity and hope -- that's the message after a devastating tornado flattened parts of Ohio. Communities like those in the Indian Lake area are now coming together, springing into action to help one another. March 15, 2024 served as a hub for community members in need of resources such as food, water, or clothing which had been collected and distributed by the community. Families may still come to the high school's gym for a hot meal or shower this weekend.
Additionally, resources may be delivered to community members by vans if they are unable to get to the school, and the district said resources may be restocked quickly.A representative from the district told ABC 6 that there has not been much demand for the school to function as an overnight shelter, andThe district said before school can resume, officials are working to determine the number of families still displaced after the storm.
