The inaugural International Wine Symposium is set for May 21-24, 2025, at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, the host city for all three major wine events.

Damien Barton Sartorius: Director of Châteaux Langoa and Léoville Barton in Bordeaux, Damien is a leader in sustainable winemaking, known for modernizing his family’s estate and co-founding Barton & Joyeux, which promotes eco-friendly wine practices. Fabio Zenato: Co-owner of Le Morette winery in Italy’s Lugana DOC, Fabio oversees the internationalization of his family’s business, while maintaining a commitment to research and sustainability in wine production.
The symposium will also shine a spotlight on North Carolina’s wine industry, which is known for its diversity of grape varietals and rich wine-making heritage. With more than 200 wineries statewide, NC Wine is rapidly growing in both production and reputation, drawing visitors from across the country to explore its unique offerings, making the symposium a premier destination for those involved in all facets of the wine world.
