Visitors can enjoy folk cuisine, music and dancing at the orthodox cathedral for an extended weekend.

The city is asking for community members willing to serve on a task force that would help develop a plan for how to electrify Piedmont’s existing residential buildings.

Piedmont’s planning and building department is mailing letters to everyone whom city records show has an ADU, junior ADU or second unit permit that ask them to complete a short survey regarding their property. For those who received permits but chose not to build, staff would like to know the reason for that decision. The survey supports housing element implementation.Additional safety measures around the community pool construction site are going into effect.

“We were sad to hear about HNU,” said HNHS President Constance Hubbard. “We have always shared the SNJM values, and we look forward to pursuing our mission with upcoming generations of high school students. Our plan begins with commitment in the ninth grade for each student to prepare to attend a four-year college or university.”
