The scholarship can be used at any two-year, four-year or Career Technical Education post-secondary institution in the United States. To be eligible for the Richmond Promise Scholarship, a student must live in Richmond or North Richmond . Students can apply for the scholarship up to two years after obtaining their high school diploma/equivalency and up to the age of 24 as of the deadline in the year a student applies to the scholarship.
