The police department posted on social media Tuesday morning that the K-9 was released from the emergency veterinarian.

After discovering signs of forced entry to the business, K-9 officers eventually located the suspect and IMPD officers ordered the suspect to surrender. When the suspect did not comply, Ringo was sent and was stabbed by the suspect. An officer then fired their weapon at the suspect.

IMPD along with IndyVet posted a video on Ringo's recovery on their social media pages while also announcing his immediate return to the force. 🐕 A heartwarming update on K9 Ringo 🐕 He has been re-certified and now is back on duty! 🚓 You may remember it was just last month when he was involved in an incident where he was stabbed three times. But, thanks to the incredible team at IndyVet, made up of doctors, nurses, technicians and other staff, they were able to stabilize him and undoubtedly save his life.
