The most decorated dog in US history has passed away
Hurricane, the former Special Operations Canine with the Secret Service that’s considered the most decorated K-9 in US history, has died at the age of 16.
“He was my best friend and meant the absolute world to me,” Mirachi told The Post Tuesday. “I was so lucky to be able to have an experience to know that my dog was willing to die for me.” “He put his life on the line at the White House because he thought he was protecting me. I spent the rest of his life trying to repay him for what he did for me,” the former Secret Service Special Operations Officer said.
The prized pup then paid this honor forward and became the face of Hurricane’s Heroes, a charitable group founded by Mirarchi that helps cover medical expenses for retired working dogs.
